Where are all the life insurance agents?

I recently heard some disturbing news on the radio the other day. The latest study about life insurance ownership says that over 1/3 of all U.S. households do not have insurance today.

I am wondering what may be the reason for this low number! One of the most important aspects of being a good life insurance agent is helping people find the money to buy life insurance. How do we do that? In many cases, when people told me they could not afford the premium, I would then take the time and review their spending habits or work over a budget with them to see if I could help them locate the funds. In 70% or more of the times, I was able to get them started with some type of inexpensive coverage and make them a client.

Most agents feel that if they can't sell someone a high commission premium, they walk away from the client. That is amateur thinking. Most of my bigger sales in life insurance eventually were made to clients that I cultivated and grew up with over the years.
