    <title>Where are all the life insurance agents?</title>

    <description>I recently heard some &lt;b&gt;disturbing news&lt;/b&gt; on the radio the other day. The latest study about life insurance ownership says that &lt;b&gt;over 1/3 of all U.S. households do not have Life Insurance today.&lt;/b&gt; 

I am wondering what may be the reason for this low number!  One of the most important aspects of being a good life insurance agent is helping people find the money to buy life insurance. How do we do that? In many cases, when people told me they could not afford the premium, I would then take the time and &lt;b&gt;review their spending habits or work over a budget&lt;/b&gt; with them to see if I could help them locate the funds. In 70 or more of the times, I was able to get them started with some type of inexpensive coverage and make them a client. 

Most agents feel that if they can&#39;t sell someone a high commission premium, they walk away from the client. &lt;b&gt;That is amateur thinking.&lt;/b&gt; Most of my bigger sales in life insurance eventually were made to clients that I cultivated and grew up with over the years.

    <title>Fear of Rejection..How it Impacts Our life!</title>

&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;I call it the Fear Factor.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt;



I do not want to quit my job, even though I hate working here. &lt;u&gt; FEAR FACTOR &lt;/u&gt;

 I wonder what people will think of me if I changed careers. &lt;u&gt; FEAR FACTOR &lt;/u&gt;

I do not think I can become an insurance agent because I would not be comfortable working on a commission type of income. &lt;u&gt; FEAR FACTOR &lt;/u&gt;


I am afraid to ask my friends for an appointment to show them the type of work I do, selling insurance. &lt;u&gt; FEAR FACTOR &lt;/u&gt;


I am afraid to ask for referred leads.&lt;u&gt; FEAR FACTOR &lt;/u&gt;


I am afraid of being rejected when making phone calls. &lt;u&gt; FEAR FACTOR &lt;/u&gt;

I once read that people who have come up with fantastic ideas were only stopped by the fear of success. 

&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;What does it really mean ? &lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;


Lets say you decided to start a widget company. However as you sat there and thought about it, you could see that this concept or product could really get big. You then start thinking How do I deal with bankers, shippers, marketing, and the time that will be needed to do all these things.  Where do I really start?  

Wow. That is too much for me handle.  &lt;u&gt;FEAR FACTOR SETS IN.&lt;/u&gt; (End of that success story.)


I have seen this fear factor surface when my agents had to make phone calls. They became reluctant because they did not want to be rejected.

What most agents need to be clear on is the fact that &lt;b&gt;people are not rejecting you&lt;/b&gt; when they do not give you an interview or buy a policy from you. They are rejecting the situation. You need to learn how to make those situations pleasent. 

People call us all the time and we look for reasons to say no, I am not interested.  &lt;b&gt;That is why you need to be very confident on the phone and in your interviews.&lt;/b&gt; 


The key to success and confidence is &lt;b&gt;knowledge power.&lt;/b&gt;  

You need to learn to earn. 



Fear is by far the biggest stumbling blocks to becoming successful. Learning how to deal with it can be the difference between success and failure, no matter what you do in life.
