Cross-selling between brokers

How often do you refer some leads to other brokers? I am new to life Insurance & annuities and recently I had someone ask me about health insurance. I had to refer him elsewhere, but I'd like to profit from such situations. Would like to know if I can automatize the process and how much money I could make out of it.

The best way to do this is to find an agent your comfortagle with that sells health insurance and then get a contract with that company and when you refer something you split the sale. Or see if he or she has a way to be contracted under him or her so you get a percentage of the commission. Of course you can just get licensed with a health provider and recive 100%. I personallly worked an arragement with a person who only sold health insurance and just gave him the leads and asked that if runs into somone asking for life insurance that he refer them to me. Unlees your doing a lot of heath referalls its just another headache your adding to your business and I would just pass the leads on. Health insuance policies have lots of underwriting issues and many of then dont get issued because of health probleems. Hope this helps... Ted
