Good company to work for
by: Ted

Nicole;

You may want to look at a company in your state located in Rock Island, CALLED MODERN WOODMEN OF AMERICA. They have a dynamic program for new agents that provides a training income and they have a five star benefits package for health insurance and retirement.

You may want to contact Kenny Massy, president and tell him that you were recommended by Ted Wolk via his website and I recommended that you call him.

Have a great day.

Ted

Best Companies To Work For.
by: Ted

Nicole;

First off, I would suggest that you click on, and read the information in the "Insurance Career's" Nav Bar under the entry level Icon on the left side of this page on our website.

When looking at a company, as an entry level agent you will need a company and a manager that are dedicated to helping you learn and grow and provide good on the job training help. I would ask for a written plan of action from the manager and ask to talk to a couple of the successful agents. If they only tell you what they are going to do with out being able to show you a written action plan, I would be reluctant to work with someone based on hearsay.

Does this manager and company provide weekly training, Do they provide the materials for you to learn and sell.

I would be cautious of joining up with a broker agency in the beginning. (Read our website articles on Captive agent and Broker agents for more info on these two concepts.

One company I am aware of that provides health insurance, a 401-k, retirement plan and great renewals along with some short term financial help is called Modern Woodmen Of America in Rock Island, Illinois.

Please let me know if I can be of more help..Ted
