Making phone calls to new insurance prospects.

I guess my first thought is how did you get their phone number? And what kind of informtion do you have about them. Where do they work, family, etc.
If it is a cold call with just a phone number, that is tough.

I guess all a person can say is "Mr/s prospect:

This is "your name" and we recently met at such and such a place and you strike me as a person that is on (use one of these : There way up, That is concerned about your family, That is a go getter) and my business is sharing new ideas with people about their financial goals in life. I have no idea if I can be of any service to you but I if nothing more, I would like the opportunity to meet you and share with you the type of work I do. Are daytime or evening appointments better for you.
