Cold Calls and No Appointments. Why?

I have searched marriage licenses, and I can't get any appointments. Here is my script I wrote:

"Hello, I am Eric ***** with ********* Insurance company. We focus on serving the life and health insurance needs for families and individuals. We offer a broad portfolio of affordable insurance products and services from highly rated companies. I would like to offer you my assistance in finding the best solution that fits your needs and budget. I would like to schedule an appointment with you for a free quote, is mornings or afternoons convenient for you?". I am having a hard time on getting appointment, I have practiced and practiced on this script. I have added enthusiasm into the script. I have recorded myself and perfected it. I don't know what is wrong, can anyone help me? Thank you very much....

Hi and thank you for the website info.
Im a life insurance agent and believe life insurance is the best financial tool for people. Its predictable safe and guaranteed it provides consistent returns. I want to talk to people about how this vehicle can help them with putting money away for long term savings and frame the discussion around this.

do you have any ideas on a telephone approach and a conversation starter on the first appointment?

Can anyone suggest tips or methods for managing anxiety and maintaining focus during cold calling? I use a script and I do practice about five minutes before a morning session. But I am having trouble ASKING for the information I need because I am afraid. Lame. Help!

How do I transfer your one on one, face to face selling methods to a telesales program. Can the inverted triangle still be used vs.the idea that the client only wants the cheapest term? Is anyone doing telesales following your selling methods? If so what are the adaptations that need to be made or differences one encounters?

How to start a conversation on the phone with people you have not contacted for years

Hi Ted,

I'm very new in the Insurance industry and will be making phone calls to my warm market. The problem now is i'm an introvert and people knows me as an introvert. If i were to suddenly call them out of the blue, their mind will be thinking that I must be trying to sell them something especially Insurance and MLM products which is a common mindset. People will be surprised that i call them out of the blue to chat and invite them out for a coffee session. What should i say or how should my approach be? Should i be frank upfront that I'm providing financial planning services?

Going back to Sales you have lost?? How do I re-approach them.

After reading this website I want to revisit all the families I did a terrible job with trying to sell insurance and use this new info I have learned here. How would you go about setting up an appointment to revisit them? My fault was I didn't even ask the families questions to find out their needs, wants etc. I just presented them a Funeral Plan and that's it! Any advice very much appreciated.

Automatic Caller

Hey Guys,

Ive been hearing around the office that there is a system that you can purchase that will call companies after hours and record their answering machines, which will help with generating phone lists.

For example say a company has a phone number 555-555-1000 which will be the main desk then usually most companies have numbers that follow for their employees. for instance 555-555-1001, 555-555-1002, 555-555-1003............. and it can range up to a good 500 or 600 numbers.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this.
